the story of a sunflower

12 weeks ago, I planted a couple packs of two different "dwarf" sunflowers in front of my front yard fence. The seed packet described "Dwarf Sunspot" sunflowers as reaching a height of 18". I cut off its 10" wide head today. It was 8 feet tall.
